Submission guidelines
Packages
History videos are designed to tell the story of an organization. They are ideal for anniversary celebrations, building dedications, or any time you want to
see how far you've come. No organization springs up overnight, so no matter how long you've been around, you have
a story to tell.
ElkayMedia will use royalty-free music for your production. Copyrighted music will not be used for your production unless proper rights are secured from the publisher. This can
be quite expensive depending on song, artist, publisher, etc. However, for an additional fee, ElkayMedia will act as your agent to secure rights if you so desire. (Allow an extra 8-10 weeks for this
process.) The finished product will be delivered on DVD with a custom case.
Package prices include one DVD in a custom case. Extra DVDs will be available for a nominal charge with volume discounts over 10. Please inquire. VHS is also available, but
because of the special processing and extra material costs involved, any substitution of VHS for DVD will cost $5 extra per cassette. Tape boxes will not be customized.
To ensure the highest quality product, we will always ask for more pictures, video, etc. than we need. However, any images that are clearly identified as being preferred will be given priority. Images provided digitally must be in an acceptable file format (.bmp or .jpg) and scanned in at 1280x960 pixels or larger to ensure maximum image quality in video. (Note: Images need to be scanned in at that size. Images that are scanned smaller and resized to the required size may not retain quality in reproduction.) Any image that cannot match those dimensions exactly (i.e. square photos, portraits) will not fill the screen and will be seen on a black background.
While ElkayMedia will take the utmost care with your original materials, will not be held liable for any damage done to them during production, either due to the production process or any other circumstance, and you will be asked to sign a release stating such. Reproductions are acceptable and encouraged.
If you choose to have your materials scanned by ElkayMedia, we can provide you with a disk of your images for a small charge.

Packages:
Package 1 - 3-5 minute photo montage set to music with custom titles
For a 3-5 minute video, we must be provided at least 75 pictures.
Package 2 - 6-8 minute photo montage or 3-5 minute photo/video combo montage set to music with custom titles For a 6-8 minute video, we must be provided at least 125 pictures. For a 3-5 minute video/photo combination, please provide at least 60 pictures. Video files must be provided on DVD, MiniDV, or VHS. Package 3 - 10-15 minute video including photos, video, personal interviews, custom titles, and voiceover narration. A pre-production meeting with client will establish the subject matter of video. A shoot will be set up for interview(s). Interview footage will be supplemented with
client-provided still photos and video clips (when available) and enhanced with music. A script will be written for your production and narration will be added to best tell your story. Video files must be provided on DVD, MiniDV, or VHS.
Custom Packages If your organization has a project in mind that doesn't really fit into any of our existing packages, that's OK! ElkayMedia can easily come up with a package that will meet your needs and create
something that will leave a lasting impression.
